Cosy On Friday

Ah Friday, we are back here again!

Where has June gone and more more importantly where has all of Friday gone?

Today especially has gone through so quickly.  Morning was a blur and then afternoon was way more speedy that Usain Bolt running.  I looked up at the clock thinking that it was nearly 3pm but nope try nearly 4pm!  And then we definitely have Emma running around like Usain Bolt.

Winter is definitely here and we've had the temperature dip below 0 but honestly I am here for it!  I am definitely the person who prefers colder weather to warmer weather!  You get to snuggle up in cosy clothes, have all the warm drinks without heating up and the wood fires are in action again.  I am all for cosy weather.

My winter pjs have been updated with some of the SOFTEST pieces from Peter Alexander,I can't stress how soft there are.  If you think you've felt soft pjs you have to get some from Peter Alexander and then just marvel at how soft they are!!  I won't say how old some of my pjs are because they're ancient but honestly lasted so well.  Until the washing machine decided to shred a pair up.  Seriously the rudeness of that machine.

I love cosy days and cosy evenings are even better.  Ever since the very late arrival to the party of me drinking tea, I consume SO MUCH!  Not too much but I'm either drinking water or tea now.  Nothing is better than sitting somewhere with a cup of tea in hand.  Add in a book or magazine, people that you love and it's just bliss.

This past week has been a very exciting one for me and I'm glad for a chilled Friday.  Not that my Friday evenings aren't chilled because I'm essentially a granny who looks like they're in their late teens.  I'm definitely a homebody but I love it.  But if things go ahead that happened this week, I am very much looking forward to it!  You'll get to hear about that in a later post ;) but I am so excited!!!!!

I've just had the last sip of my tea and I think we're at the end of this blog post.  I think I'll probably continue writing for next weeks post because when you get hit with the 'lets be an organised person' mood you milk that as much as you can because it's valuable as!  I bought a little journal for blogging/ideas/scribbles/whatever is happening in my brain and get that started!  It's going to be like a bullet journal/not a bullet journal but one which uses ideas from bullet journals.  I am keen.

Until next time, keep smiling :)  Em xx

June Top Five

Another month down and we are in the cosy season!  I love the colder seasons because it’s easier for me to warm up than it is for me to cool down and no one likes Emma practically melting in the Australian heat!!

June has been an interesting month and it’s been one where I’ve had more than five things I’d want to include in my Top Five but then you get one things which just nudges past everything as a late-comer and we’re back to the right number!

Deligracy.  I can’t remember when I started watching Deligracy but I’m so glad for that day!  Her name is actually Maddie and she’s an Australian Gaming YouTuber who also dabbles in some lifestyle bits and she is one of my favourites!  I am a huge lover of the Sims and love watching Lets Play videos and also building videos and Deligracy is just such an upbeat and engaging content creator!  Her Lets Plays are my favourite and I am currently watching her Barbie, Dream Life and Parenthood one, it’s a good day when I open YouTube and see there is a new video from Deligracy!  I love how she plays the Sims because it’s similar to my style of playing in a way.  I love everything to be plain sailing them BAM we have drama!  It’s good to have a mixture and balance everything out ;)

The Sim Supply.  Another Australian YouTuber which I am adoring!  I discovered James around the same times as Maddie and they’re probably the two Sims Gaming YouTubers that I will consistently watch.  I find with gaming videos I’m more picky with who I watch and the voice really plays a part in this - James has an awesome voice, just putting that out there.  His intro is gets you straight into the video and it gets a like from me!  His house builds are next level.  And as a former design student I would get both jealous and also inspired watching them.  May have mentioned one of his builds as a precedent once and my tutor loved it so thank you James!

Electric (723) Revlon Nail Polish.  I love subtle polishes for my nails.  Just really subtle, nothing that attracts a heap of attention, just nice and simple.  Electric is perfect for those casual, laid back nail days.  AHAHHAHAHHA far out Emma you are such a comedian.  This is the opposite of a subtle nail polish and I love it!  I love wearing polishes on both extremes of the scale, subtle and then not so subtle and this falls very comfortably within the not so subtle range.  I was looking for a pink nail polish and didn’t have one in my tiny collection so went on the look for one and which I couldn’t find the shade I wanted I saw this one and was like I need this!  I love Revlon Nail Polishes, this formula type just works so well for me and I can’t rave about it enough!  Electric is a vibrant fuchsia with an iridescent shimmer and it sososososo easy to apply.  I can’t stress this enough, you only need one coat and you have a solid finish and you can start to admire your funky nails straight away!  It doesn’t take that long to dry, I like to wait a while just to be sure and lasts quite well with or without a top coat.  I’m usually quite forgetful and forget to put a top coat on but I wore this polish down to Hobart recently but it was strong wearing but didn't help with attracting attention to my hands at a rehearsal haha

Real Techniques Expert Face Brush.  I have had my eyes on Real Techniques Brushes for years now but never made a purchase because I’d wear minimal makeup and would tap my concealer in with my fingers and after some powder, mascara and Gimme Brows I’d be good to go!  Times are changing because Emma has been wearing foundation!  Stop the press!!  I know crazy right but yeah for days where I want to look more put together I’ll pop some foundation on and has been using a beauty blender (definitely a cheaper knock off) and while it did the job, I wasn’t a fan of using it.  So I picked up the Expert Face Bush and I haven’t touched my sponge since!  I can see why it’s Real Techniques best selling brush!  It’s amazing!  It gives me a smooth finish to my foundation and even if I only apply a small amount of foundation I’m able to spread the product where I need it to be easily!  It’s also INCREDIBLY SOFT!  Size is great and I’m just able to go all over my face with this brush!  Can’t praise this anymore and I really want to have a look at getting more brushes from Real Techniques!

GarageBand.  This is a favourite of mine from the end of the month.  I had been working on my portfolio on and off and when I went to do more work on it I saw all the work I had done hadn’t saved.  I was a little annoyed to say the least and instantly was not in the mood to do portfolio work.  So I went to play a game I had on my laptop but spied the GarageBand application and thought, heh let’s have a go at this.  I’ve had my laptop for around five years and remembered trying to use it back then but had no idea!  I still had no idea what I was doing initially but kind of got the hang of it?  And made a little song with the sounds and instruments the had in the application!  When I showed it to my fam, they all loved it and I’ve been dabbling ever since!  Flume and all those type of artists….  Look out ;)

Have you discovered anything new in June, I’ve got some products and things which will probably make their way into my July Top Five so you’ll have to wait til next month for them heheh

Until next time, keep smiling :)  Em xx

7 Life Lessons From Harry Potter

Not going to lie, I am a Harry Potter girl.  Growing up, Harry Potter was a huge part of my life and it’s something I’ll love forever.  And it doesn’t matter how many people tell me I should be out of my ‘Harry Potter phase’, ain’t going to happen anytime soon sorry!

So I have 7 life lessons from Harry Potter.  As it happens, the number 7 is a pretty significant number in the wizarding world so that's convenient ;)

Looks can be deceiving.  Fang - huge dog that wouldn’t hurt a fly.

Teamwork is vital.  Let’s be a little bit honest here….  Could Harry have done everything if it wasn’t for his friends and those around him as well in some circumstances?  Teamwork can make or break a situation and when it goes well, it’s amazing and you can get so much achieved!

Bravery comes in different forms.  Let me just say Neville Longbottom!  Who would have thought he would have stood up to his friends at the end of the first year?  Not me, that’s for sure.

Money can’t buy you happiness.  All I am going to say here are the beautiful Weasley family compared to the Malfoys.  One family has all the money in the world and the other doesn't and which household is filled with love and happiness and everything that makes your heart warm?  Not the Malfoys that is for sure!

Fame isn’t everything.  Classic line and oh so true.  I don’t know what I’d think if I was famous.  In this day and age, I am very glad of the quiet life I have!  Sure there are positive aspects to it but then get ready for the lists of negatives!

Pay attention in class.
In a school such as Hogwarts, I reckon the line between paying attention and not would be a very thin one.  Imagine the health and safety of the accidents if you didn’t listen to instructions in a Potions class….   EEK!

Speak clearly.  Remember that one time when Harry was meant to go to Diagon Alley but absolutely fumbled on his wording and ended up in the shady part of town?  Pronunciation is key!

There are so many more lessons from the Harry Potter world but I would literally be writing an essay!  If you have any others, comment them down below!  I’d love to hear what you discovered!

Also who loves my Slytherin Philosopher’s Stone book!??!!?!  I LOVE IT!  Yes, I am in Slytherin and I am proud of it!  Not everyone there is a baddie…!  Did any of you pick up one of these?  What house are you in?

Until next time, keep smiling :)  Em xx

Turning A Not So Great Day Around

Life can be a bothersome thing.  The world can be a bothersome thing.  Doesn’t matter how big or small your problems are, they’re still a problem.

There are only 24 hours in a day and sometimes our days just don’t go how we want them too.

I spilt tea on myself and partially on my laptop

I spilt my soup on myself.  Soup wasn’t even that great to start with so this was a double whammy.

I lost credit.

VSCO Cam has changed.  Again.

Tried a different type of tea and I’m not a fan.

These are all some pretty nice first world problems.  Granted spilling my cup of tea over myself and my laptop could have been a costly first world problem so I’m glad no tea actually went into my laptop!

As much as we’d like to just wallow in self pity and stare out the window looking all gloomy with a moody theme song playing, that isn’t going to help anyone.  It won’t help you, it won’t help those around you and it’s just not worth it!

So how to turn a not so great day around?  I’ve got you covered!

Laugh it out.  Laughter is the best medicine.  Find a funny video on YouTube and let some giggles out!

Take some breaths.  You could be holding your breath or doing the complete opposite and going a million miles an hour!  So just take a minute to gauge how you’re breathing and spend time on your breathing.

Listen to some uplifting music.  No more sad songs here people!  That’a a good tune by Little Mix but for me Viva La Vida by Coldplay.  I don’t know what it is about that song but if there is ever a mood lifter, it’s that one.  Works like a charm every time!

Smile.  At others, to yourself in the mirror, just exercise those face muscles.

Maybe just wallow in a little bit of self pity just to let it out.  As I’m writing this, I got some not so great news (aka still unemployed) so just having a little sook for a little moment is fine.  But then move on.  Shit happens and we can’t have everything go on how we want it to and we just have to acknowledge it and move on!

Think about what is amazing.  This is one for my first world problems.  I spilt stuff on me but I have other clothes at home I can wear and also there is a washing machine.  Tried a tea I didn’t quite like, well that means I’ll know not to buy or drink it again in the future!  There are also going to be so many other things that are amazing in your life right now.  Think of those and appreciate them!

Dance party.  Dance like no one is watching and let all your feelings and emotions and everything with some dance moves.  Doesn’t matter how crazy your moves are, crack the out to the beat of your favourite tunes!

Change your environment.  If you’re able to, switch up your environment and move to another place.  Can be as simple as moving to another room and just getting out of the

Acknowledge that days can be shitty but that it’s just a part of life.  No one has a perfect life.  Life is full of ups and downs and we’re going to get them whether we like it or not.

Our lives are going to be filled with ups and downs and it can be big things or seemingly insignificant things can make or break out days!  Just ride through it all and seek out the positive moments, awesome people and things which help you see all that is incredible in life!

How do you turn around a not so great day?  Share it in the comments so others can benefit :) let’s chat!

Until next time, keep smiling :)  Em xx

Golden Hour During Winter

Winter can be really cold.  Some people say the cold never bothered them anyway.  I sometimes say that but then really I'd be lying because some days it is FREEZING and all I want to do is stay in bed and hide under the covers.

But what is truly glorious about winter is when we have winter sun and probably my most favourite part of the day (all throughout the year) is the Golden Hour.

The sun is setting.  And everything is just golden and subtle and warm and it's beautiful.  I love the sky.  It's a beautiful pale blue moving to a soft then more intense glow towards the sun.  I can look out the windows and see the contrast between the shadows and the now golden green grass.

My bedroom is warm.  The sun is shining gently in and I could just sit facing towards the sun and soak it all up.

Bliss.  Golden Hour is bliss.

It's my favourite time to sit down and just chill.  Do nothing.  Maybe pop some chill music on and just listen and watch the world go by outside.

And now to go and make the house more cosy!

I hope you get to enjoy Golden Hour wherever you live :)

Until next time, keep smiling :)  Em xx

Are We Living Life In A Bubble?

*I had started this post a long long long looooooong time ago so forgive me on this hahah*

If you haven't heard Chained To The Rhythm yet by the one and only Katy Perry please go give it a listen!  And really listen and then come back to this post!!  I was having a look at Katy Perry's music video for Chained To The Rhythm and the lyric "So comfortable we're living in a bubble, bubble" stuck with me and got me thinking.  Are we living life in a bubble?

Let's talk this out.

We live in a digital world, where at a press of a button moments, memories, anything can be published online.  It’s a digital age unlike anything we’ve ever experienced before and while this can produce some amazing things, on the flip side it can just produce the opposite.
Living our lives through a lens.

Like I've said, we live in a digital world.  We post on Instagram and update our Instagram stories, we keep up snap streaks on Snapchat (man how streaks infuriate me hahah) but we live our lives through an online platform.  And yes here I am writing about this all on my blog, my little corner of the internet.

The musical legend that is Ed Sheeran took a break from his phone and social media saying that he had found himself seeing the world through a screen and not his eyes.  This struck a chord with me because I feel so many of us would be able to relate to this to some extent.  While instagram isn't as instant as the name suggests with the editing and all that goes into taking the perfect shot, we don't really appreciate the world in that moment.
And I am that person.  If there is a gorgeous sunset, I grab my phone and take a photo, or multiple photos.  And it will either end up on my instagram, or my instagram story or snapchat.  Taking photos of food, people, landscapes, ourselves too!

We have our experiences through a lens.  And while that is great for preserving memories through videos, picture, blog posts and the like, we don’t live in that moment.  When I was in Adelaide, I’d take a photo of the sunset.  They were truly stunning.  But then I’d keep taking photos of the sunset as it changed.  I’m torn because I want to see the photo back months later and marvel at how beauty Henley Beach was but at the time last year, how much time did I waste taking the photos?  Instead of just appreciating it there and then.

So comfortable, we live in a bubble, a bubble.

I think we just spend too much times on our phones.  And laptops.  But I think that is just how the time is at the moment.  Technology is advancing and more and more people are choosing to document their lives online, myself included.  I think we can look at the words lens as us looking at the world how we want to see it, hence living in a bubble.

Turning a bling eye to what is happening in the world, or closer to home with our family and friends.  We keep ourselves in a little cocoon of utopia.  Oblivious to what is going on around us or a watered down version.

Your rose coloured glasses on.

I first heard the term rose coloured glasses when I was in grade 5.  I was 10/11 and there wee two students in the class who were all happy and in love as you would be at that age and with a girlfriend/boyfriend.  I can't remember the specifics of how everything went down because this was years ago, but my teacher said the girl was looking at the world through rose coloured glassed.  Me being the kid I was looked at the girl and was thinking, she isn't wearing any glasses, and waited til I was home to ask mum what my teacher meant.

The highly sophisticated source of Wiktionary, defines rose coloured glasses as an optimistic perception of something; a positive opinion, seeing something in a positive way, often thinking of it better than it actually is.  I, as a much older person, understand this a lot better now.

People will view the world how they want to view the world.  When I was little, I thought everything was sunshine and roses and sugar and spice and everything nice.  Now as a 24 year old, I hate (and I’ll say hate) going onto Facebook, Twitter, Instagram any social media platform and seeing the devastation which is occurring.

I sometimes feel that people turn a blind eye to what is happening.  It’s so easy to scroll past and move on from what you saw and I myself struggle with this.  Sending a tweet out does nothing when you think about it.

While there is nothing really that we can do about changing how technology is advancing, I think it's important to remember to actually live.  We need to live more.  I remember, I believe it was Ella Grace Denton who had a blog under this name and I think those five words should be made into a print.  We need to live more and we don't have to do it all my our phones.  Not constantly posting on social media isn't going to be the end of the world, if you lose a snapchat streak the heavens won't open up and get cranky.  And yes, here I am typing a post up which will end up on my little corner of the internet hahah

We need to look more and I mean look more.  Actually with our eyes and see what is happening.  We live in a beautiful world but more often than not our world is a not so beautiful place.  Which sucks.  It truly sucks.

Looking further into the lyrics of this song, I just have to praise Katy Perry.  There are so many songs out there which are very thin with their meaning, but not with Chained To The Rhythm.  Our world is so ironic sometimes.

What do you think?  Are we living in a bubble?  Do you like Chained To The Rhythm?  Let’s talk about it in the comments!! :)

Until next time, keep smiling :)  Em xx

66 Hours In Hobart

I’m the most spontaneous human on the planet.  I like to plan things and have some sort of idea of what I’m going to do.  However when one of your musical friends asks whether you want to spend a few days down Hobart and go to Mona, see theTasmanian Symphony Orchestra perform, crash a rival bands rehearsal and just have a catch up which isn’t in a rehearsal, I jumped at the opportunity and booked my bus ticket within days.

I hadn’t been to Hobart for fun in some time so was looking forward to going down there, catching up with my music friends and just having a few days away!

After a nice (nice as it can be) bus ride down to Hobart, I met Tom (a friend of Amity’s, my musical friend) would would take me to the Conservatorium of Music.  I’d driven past this place so many times and if I hadn’t have studied design, I would have been tooting away on my clarinet down in Hobart.  So it was awesome to finally be able to see inside the building where I could have been studying!  I didn’t realise how much of a walk it was between the bus station and the con.  I thought I had been smart by taking a sports bag as my luggage.  Suitcase would have been SO MUCH EASIER!  I seriously felt like my legs were going in all sorts of directions when we were walking/jogging/not a leisurely stroll - I was pooped by the time we got to the building!

In the days that I was in Hobart, I got to go to the con everyday.  And it made me miss my clarinet (which was at home) and also wish that I had studied music.  Don’t think I would have liked some of the exams so I’m happy with my decision hahah  It was awesome to have a listen to the students there and I felt nostalgic listening to one of the pieces that they played the afternoon I was there, as I had played the exact piece many, many years ago ahha

Thursday night, I would also be crashing a rival bands rehearsal.  I was terrified and was doing everything I could do to get out of playing with them but I am so glad I was able to sit in.  I was put on second clarinet and was sight reading six or seven pieces of music and I’m not the best at sight reading at the best of times so having to sight read and not draw attention to myself was a bit fun!  I’m pleased to say that I didn’t stick out and if I ever move to Hobart I’ve got a seat in the band!!!!!

I’d be staying with my friend Amity and she was dog sitting so I was also a little bit excited to meet the pups.  Ester and little Charlie.  Oh my goodness.  I can be quite nervous around dogs but I think I’ve improved out of sight being around these two!  Completely cheeky but oh so adorable!

On Friday we had a trip to Mona planned.  I’d never been there before and had always kept that quiet at university because not only was it a place of notability in Tasmania but the building itself was something else!  I was honestly more excited for the building over what was inside to be honest hahah  we missed our ferry ride there so made changes and got there by car and I was already in awe of the building!

Side note.  Amity probably wouldn’t advise going anywhere with a design student because they pick out everything.  Good, bad and everything in between.  Sorry about those stairs Amity hehehe

The building was incredible.  You go down a few floors and make your way up the museum and I can’t praise it enough!  I loved it!  Everything in the museum was, interesting.  From studying right next door to a museum and art gallery and studying art units myself, I appreciate art a lot more now.  But some things are just weird and I can’t wrap my head around it.  In saying this, the museum does challenge you.  There are pieces where I physically couldn’t stand to watch.  And I’d just walk away from them and find something else to look at.  And there are some where I was like YES I LOVE THIS!  So there is mixture of everything for you to enjoy!

I loved the mirror was as you went to enter into the building.  Good for instagram hahah  also a water piece which would have words falling down, they put some controversial words in there which were completely applicable to this day and age so I give that a huge thumbs up.  There was another space where you walked around a corridor, through another and you ended up in this small room.  But when you looked up, the ceiling was a mirror and I wasn’t expecting it at all!  It was a good journey through space, that particular exhibit.

BUT my favourite exhibit part of the museum was one where you actually got to get involved with it!  You have a portrait of someone upside down.  Then at a right angle to that you had a blank a4 piece of paper.  And then there was a circular mirror for you to look at.  Essentially, you’d sit down, look into the mirror and draw on the outsides of what you could see from the mirror.  I probably haven’t explained that right hahah  I was a bit nervous to have a go of it but I’m so glad I did because I am chuffed with the drawing I did hahah  I don’t know who the guy is but he’s sure got some awesome glasses!  I got the keep the drawing too and I was so keen to show everyone when I got back home!

We had to catch the ferry back into Hobart but I was getting peckish and also wanted to buy some things in the gift store so we made sure we had enough time to do this!  I got an iced chocolate or mocha and a croissant and they were delicious!  From the gift store I got a Mona tee and also a notebook and pencil because one can’t have enough pencils and notebooks hahah  The ferry ride back didn’t involve me getting sea/motion sick and we got to have some yummy little treats!

That afternoon we went into city itself and had a look around a few stores.  I bought a few things from Lush which I’m yet to try out yet but when I do, just be prepared for a blog post on them hahah I love Lush and wish we have one in the north of the state but I guess this means I’ll have to come down to Hobart more often!  Friday we also had the best pizza I think I’ve ever eaten.  Yes this is a big statement to make but I feel it’s a relevant one because the pizza was incredible and I wouldn’t mind another few slices of it!  We got it from Medici and dayuuuuuuum.  Very good pizza.

Saturday afternoon we had the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra concert and I was so looking forward to this.  I hadn’t been to one of their concerts in years and seeing them again was well overdue.  They.  Were.  Incredible.  Have nothing but praise and claps for them.  I loved it!  And I want to see them over and over and over again!

Later Saturday, Amity had Chamber concert which she was performing in so we got to go to that.  I stayed backstage for the entire time and mingled with the musicians hahaha everyone at the con was super friendly and wanted to know what I hated about the building the minute I said I studied design!  They also said I was more than welcome to come down and study because they need more clarinets hahah

After the concert we went to what is referred to as the second campus of the con, Preachers.  Nice pub and beer garden and a place I loved!  It was my type of place, easily.  I had a cherry cider and it was nice to sit there for a few hours and talk more with the music people!  Did suck when it started raining hahah

And roll on Sunday and it was time for me to go back up north.  I was catching the bus back so had to pack everything in the morning but didn’t have that much to do so wasn’t rushing in the morning!  May have also gotten a hash brown from McDonalds and I don’t regret anything…!

Hobart is an awesome place and I always love when I get to go down there!  Can’t wait to go down there again and hopefully with all of my music friends so we can have a nice reunion!

Amity, if you’re reading (which you probably/hopefully are because I’m going to send you a link) thank you for inviting me down :)

Until next time, keep smiling :)  Em xx

Bus Thoughts On The Way To Hobart

I’ll be blunt, my brain is weird.  I’ll be doing a simple task and my brain will go and think of all the worst possible outcomes that could possibly happen.  I recently went down to Hobart on a spontaneous trip and oh that bus ride there and back was quite funny!

Please let this be the right bus.  This is great when there is literally only one bus going to where your destination is.  But the good old mind doesn’t think that way because even though the bus is going down to Hobart the sign could be wrong and you could end up in Devonport.

Where am I going to sit?  Do you go up the front of the bus, pick a spot in the middle or go towards the back of the bus?  Front of the bus gets you a few, back of the bus is closer to the loo which is a good and bad thing really and then the middle could get stuffy.  And then you have to consider who it currently sitting on the bus.  I sat in front of an elderly lady thinking she’d be great..  Nope.  The whole bus knew how annoyed she was that she couldn’t get a nail appointment.  It was a great time.

Please don’t let anyone sit next to me.  Now I will share my seat on the bus, it’s the polite thing to do.  Bus seats aren’t the most spacious things out there and I’m tall and it can get cramped.  I had the majority of the bus trip with the seat to myself except for a portion of the end journey and the girl who sat down next to me had a huge sports bag.  And it got cosy very quickly.

Is my music too loud?  I had a good time listening to Harry Styles and Ed Sheeran to and from Hobart.  I only became conscious of this when I had to share a seat so turned my music down, I didn’t have it on very loudly to start with but just to be on the safe side

Are we there yet?  Ah this classic road trip question!  I’ve traveled to Hobart many times but damn on a bus with no family or friends to talk with it can get boring and drag on!

To pee or not to pee.  This can double up as getting up to simply stretch your legs because you don’t get an opportunity to do so until you get off the bus.  I chose to not pee.  Good thing I didn’t actually need to pee because I’d find it awkward having to use the bus toilet.  What if a heap of people need to go when you’re on?  What if they can hear you doing your business?  What happens if there is a bumpy road and things get messy?  Ugh.  Just go to the toilet before the bus trip and don’t drink everything!

I wish I had some food.  The only "food" I had with me were some Eclipse Mints and while they're great for a fresh breath, not great to ward off the tummy grumbles.  And water doesn't do anything either and goes towards me wanting to use the toilet again...

I wish I didn't get travel sick.  I brought with me in my handbag, a Frankie magazine and also some paper and pens to draw on.  However, occasionally getting travel sickness means looking down and concentrating on words and the like will most likely result in some not so fun times.  But damn there were times where I wanted to do a hella quick sketch of something I saw but didn't want to risk being sick :/

What is that smell?  On this bus you weren’t allowed any warm food or drink which was perfectly fine.  It’s great when people don’t listen this and someone whips out a warm meal.  Which doesn’t smell nice.  And the smell lingers and you can’t escape the smell.  And mixed with funky human smells, it’s not so pleasant…

Please let my luggage be on this bus.  Again with the “this is the only bus to where you’re going” type situation because where else would my luggage be?!

I think my brain needs to calm down sometimes and just take a breather and not think the worst is going to happen all the time hahahah but please someone else tell me that I’m not alone with their overly imaginative and sometimes weird mind hahaha

Until next time, keep smiling :)  Em xx
